Eligibility
The renter must be at least [21] years old and hold a valid driving license, held for a minimum of [1 year].
The license must match the category of vehicle booked (manual/automatic).
Booking & Payment
Bookings are confirmed only after advance payment or full payment, as applicable.
Rates are based on the plan selected (hourly/daily/weekly/monthly) and may vary by season, city or car type.
Prices shown on the website are subject to change without prior notice.
Fuel Policy
The car is handed over with a certain fuel level, noted at pickup.
The car must be returned with the same fuel level. A refuelling charge applies if fuel is lower at return.
Cancellation & Refund
Cancellations made [24 hours] before pickup are eligible for a full/partial refund, as per the applicable slab.
Cancellations made after this window may attract a cancellation fee.
No refund for no-shows.
Vehicle Use Restrictions
The car must be driven only by the renter named on the booking, unless an additional driver is registered.
The car must not be used for:
Sub-letting or commercial passenger transport
Off-roading beyond normal road conditions
Any illegal activity .
Smoking inside the car may attract a cleaning charge.
Documents Required
Valid driving license
Aadhaar card or passport
A credit or debit card
Original documents must be shown at pickup. Bookings without valid originals may be cancelled without a refund.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is collected at pickup.
The deposit is refunded after the car is inspected for damage, fuel level and cleanliness.
Any repair cost, fine, or shortfall is deducted from the deposit before refund.
Rental Duration & Late Returns
The rental period is calculated from the agreed pickup time to the agreed return time.
Any delay must be informed in advance.
Late returns without prior notice may incur an hourly or full-day charge, at Shiva Car Rental's discretion.
Insurance & Liability
All cars include standard insurance coverage as per the policy terms.
The renter is liable for any damage, theft, or traffic violation during the rental period, beyond what is covered by insurance..
Fines, challans and tolls incurred during the rental are the renter's responsibility.
Outstation Travel
Outstation trips are permitted with prior information about the route.
Additional charges (permit, toll, driver allowance if applicable) may apply for outstation use.
